We hope you all had a good Christmas and I wish you all a very Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing you all again soon. Thank you very much from all the teachers for your good wishes, cards and gifts.
The Spring Term will be 12 weeks beginning Tuesday 10th January until Saturday 8th April (inc). Half term will be 1 week . No normal classes the weekend of the show and Mon-‐ Thursday following it. 24th Feb-‐2nd March inc. Please see the separate attachments for details of fees and the timetable.
Fees must be paid in advance unless arranged personally with Miss Wendy.

Please ensure the child’s name is included as a reference. Otherwise cash or cheque is acceptable (in an envelope with child’s name).
The Show called Coppelia and Friends is 25th/26th February 2017 with dress rehearsal on Friday after school. The main classical section will be our version of Coppelia. All the dances have been started and there will be lots of practise going on in the next few weeks and as most of you have seen the costumes have started to arrive. TICKETS will be on sale from 10th January.
The awards for last term were presented to:
Mathilde Poutineau-Wise – concentration and attendance in all classes
Tilly Toon – for trying so hard in every class.
Grace Taylor – most improved.
They all received a voucher to spend on dance related items. A special mention must go to Clara Wilkinson the only pupil, who entered 3 exams last term, Ballet Tap and Modern and who received Distinction for Modern and Tap. We are still waiting for the Ballet results.
We would like to congratulate all the children that took exams. The modern and Tap results were excellent.
All the children will stay in their current classes until half term whilst we continue with the show rehearsals.
I would like to encourage everyone to wear the correct uniform for classes. Please purchase all uniform from me, so that it is correctly fitted.
If for any reason your child has to miss a class, you can always make it up by attending a suitable replacement class at a different time. If you are unsure which class is suitable please ask.

Presentations of work are demonstrated at regular intervals to family and friends, giving a preparation towards exam work. Parent watching week.
At the end of term the family and friends are invited to watch their child in their normal classes, so they are able to see the improvement of their child through out the term and see what normal classes entail.
Ocassionly Miss Wendy and the teachers like to arrange for the Children to go watch a live performance of a proffesional dance company or a Musical Threater Performance
The Autumn Term will be 13 weeks beginning Tuesday 8th September until Saturday 12th December (inc). Half term will be 1 week TBC but to coincide with local schools.

There will be exams in RAD Ballet in Friday 23rd October; further details will follow for those involved.
Next term we will be starting Saturday classes as an option for the younger children and also Repertoire and Conditioning for the older ones.
Please see timetable for details. These will take place at an alternative venue TBC. (In Knutsford)

Please purchase all uniform from me. The shop will be open on Wednesdays and Fridays. One of our assistants will be able to help you and ensure everything is fitted correctly. Please ensure payment is made before taking your products. Correct uniform will be shown on the notice board.

The school does have a uniform for Modern Tap and Ballet classes. These are available from the school and are chosen from the RAD selection.
The last week of term will be watching week where friends and family are welcome to come and observe your child’s progress.
A week’s intensive course is held during the Summer holidays, for those that just can’t wait for classes to start again.
This has been a great success and is always enjoyed by the children.
The classes comprise of Ballet, Hip hop, Jazz, Tap, Repertoire, Character, Crafts and Watching of a Dance DVD. This culminates in a demonstration to show the work that has been learnt.
It is open to children from 5years old and also to non school pupils. Come and have fun!
